Baileys bird poem

On Wednesdays and Thursdays Mrs Wallace teaches in Room 2. Most of the time we do really cool pieces of writing and then turn them into poems. In our poems we do things such as: alliteration, short sharp sentences, juxtaposition and a narrative process. Some of the main focus in our poems were things like birds, snakes, volcanoes, winter and night storms.
Walt: choose and use effective languageJuveniles have yellow eyerings

Beauty in the air
Cheeky smile glued on his beak
Kea perching
Rocks crumbling
He looks at the sky hoping to fly
Wings opening in the sunlight
Metallic feathers glowing
Chirp echoing
Eyes glistening
Wings whistling
Flowers swaying
Chirping loudly
He stands proud while he carefully lands
As the sun sets,
He sees the top of a human head.
He's scared
He flies away leaving a few,
Glistening feathers...
