Here in Rm 2 we have been doing lots of work on the Olympics lately and one of the things we did was Mrs Knofflock got Rm 2 to each pick an athlete from the Rio 2016 Olympics and write a news report on them.
We decided on our success criteria before writing and used this to help us throughout the process. We did a draft in our Written Language books and then published it onto a google drawing. The athlete I picked was Rosie Maclennan from Canada who won gold in the women's individual trampolining event. Hopefully you enjoy reading and find out a bit more about her. It was really fun to do and we all found out much more about different Olympic athletes.
