Life Education Caravan

We had our last visit today to the Life Education caravan with Michelle and Harold.  Lots of great thinking, sharing, role playing and conversation around dealing with conflict, showing resilience, having confidence and feeling good about ourselves.  Ask your child to explain to you the difference between rude, mean and bullying.  Ask them what are empathy and resilience and who are Head Hassler and Mind Master and what are their roles.

Bigfoot Bikes

Lots of learning and fun was held today with the Bigfoot Adventure staff who came and worked with us today and yesterday.  Your children should be articulate about both helmet suitability and fit and bike safety and legal requirements for riding on the road.  Ask them to tell you all about it.

"Fairest of them all" Show

Children were entertained and informed  this morning by the NZ playhouse who were able to capture and hold the childrens attention for nearly a hour,  They laughed their heads off during the performance and said it was" the best show they have seen."  The messages embedded cleverly through fairy-tales were extremely pertinent to our children growing up in today's digital age. Get them to tell you all about it.

We had a lot of fun creating our own potato people after sharing Pamela Allen's book "The Potato people"  Some great imagination was used and a lot of fun had.

Celebrities visit us in Room 2

A big thank you to the wonderful grandparents who visited us yesterday.  It was such a pleasure to have you come and read to our class.  All the groups loved their time with you and it was delightful to see the excitement in the faces of all the children, especially so the children whose grandparents they were.
